Company History

February 1972 Tokyo Honyakusha established in Hongo, Bunkyo-ku in Tokyo.
Translation and interpretation business started.
December 1973 Company is incorporated into Tokyo Honyakusha Co., Ltd.
May 1975 Head office is moved to Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku in Tokyo as the company business expands.
April 1980 Specialist temporary staff placement service begun, focusing mainly on translators.
February 1983 Specialist temporary staff placement service separated and established as an independent organization, Mankind Associates Co., Ltd.
October 1987 Company name changed to Honyaku Corporation, to reflect the diversification of business handled.
January 1995 Head office is moved to Hongo, Bunkyo-ku, in Tokyo, as the company business expands.
April 2004 INTEC Communications Inc. established, a company offering services in intercultural communication, language training and various other types of business training. H.I.M Group is formed, the name being made up from the initial letters of Honyaku Corporation, Intec Communications and Mankaind Associates.
An improved service is thus provided with this three-in-one integrated group system.
October 2009 Head office is moved to Kaigan, Minato-ku, in Tokyo, as the company business expands.
US office established in Boston, State of Massachusetts.
