Honyaku Corporation is aware of the importance of protecting personal information as it carries out its business of providing translation-related, human resources-related and language training services. Honyaku Corporation has established a personal information protection management system, and strives to ensure that everyone working for Honyaku Corporation strictly complies with the system in order to fully protect personal information.

  1. Honyaku Corporation clearly indicates the purposes for which it collects any personal information and shall restrict the use of such information to what is necessary to accomplish the stated purposes. Such information will not be used for any other purposes.
  2. Honyaku Corporation has formulated internal regulations and taken defensive measures to prevent unauthorized access to or loss, destruction, falsification, or leaking of personal information it collects. Honyaku Corporation reserves the right to amend these regulations and measures as necessary.
  3. Honyaku Corporation complies with the laws, ordinances and other norms on personal information when handling personal information.
  4. Honyaku Corporation conducts periodic audits of its personal information protection management system and improves it, whenever necessary.
  5. If Honyaku Corporation is requested by any person to disclose, correct or delete his/her personal information, Honyaku Corporation endeavors to respond to such request within a reasonable period of time.

Honyaku Corporation has distributed copies of this Privacy Policy to all of its directors, officers and employees so that they can be kept well-informed of its content, and we have taken measures to ensure that the Privacy Policy can be made available to anyone at any time

Handling of Personal Information

■Purpose of use of personal information acquired through any method other than by way of a document provided directly by the person in question

When we handle the following personal information, we will use it solely within the scope of its purpose of use and will not use it for any other purposes.

  1. Although we may acquire personal resumes and other personal information on applicants from recruitment and other staff agencies in our recruitment activities, such information shall only be used to screen applicants for employment.
  2. Although we acquire information on clients and course attendees from those in charge at participating companies in our language training program services, the use of this information is confined to providing such training programs as requested by them.

  3. When we acquire and use any personal information, we will use it for the following purposes:
    ●We will use personal information provided in employee contracts for the sole purpose of managing those labor contracts.
    ●We will use personal information on employees for the sole purpose of managing employment and personnel affairs.
    ●We will use personal information we receive from an applicant for the sole purpose of determining whether or not we should hire him/her.
    ●We will use personal information on our clients, vendors and suppliers for the sole purpose of maintaining business contacts with them and to facilitate the efficient performance of our business operations (see Note 1 below).
    ●We will use personal information on our service only for the specified purpose of use (see Note 1).
    Note 1: The personal information referred to in Paragraph (2) of “Purpose of use of personal information acquired through any method other than by way of a document provided directly by the person in question” is not included.

  5. Procedures for responding to your request for disclosure, etc.
    1. Personal information subject to disclosure
      3.4.4.1 of JIS Q15001: 2006 defines “personal information subject to disclosure” as follows:

      “the personal information in which the business entity owns the authority that the business entity can respond to all of the requests for the disclosure, correction of content, addition or deletion, stopping use, erasing, and stopping provision to the third party which are requested by the person, which is the personal information that is composed of a set of information systematically constituted as it can easily retrieve using a computer or a set of information systematically constituted as it can easily retrieve the specific personal information by arranging and classifying according to the established regulation and attaching contents, indices, symbols, etc.”
      * We cannot respond to a request for disclosure, etc. of personal information as specified in the section titled “Purpose of use of personal information acquired through any method other than by way of a document provided directly by the person in question,” because it is not personal information subject to disclosure.

    2. “Personal information subject to disclosure” in our possession includes:
      1. Personal information on our clients acquired in the course of the performance of our business operations (see Note 1 below);
      2. Personal information on our vendors and suppliers (see Note 1);
      3. Personal information on the employment management of all of our employees;
      4. Personal information on those who wish to join us; and
      5. Personal information on those who have contacted us by way of an inquiry.
      Note 1: The personal information referred to in Paragraph (2) of “Purpose of use of personal information acquired through any method other than by way of a document provided directly by the person in question” is not included.
    3. Section to which a request for disclosure should be made
      When you make a request for disclosure, please contact our “Personal Information Desk” first. If you request that we notify you of or disclose to you the purpose of use of your personal information in our possession, or correct, add or delete such information, suspend the use of such information, erase such information or cease the provision of such information to third parties, please complete the form designated by us and submit it to us
    4. When you make a request for disclosure, we will verify your identify. Depending on the circumstances, we may ask you to send us a copy of a public certificate by mail for verification.
      * If you are represented by a proxy, you should submit a power of attorney to us for verification. If you constitute and appoint a proxy, you are requested to submit copies of both our own and your proxy’s public certificates. We do not accept a request by telephone, email, facsimile or other means. You should submit the designated form by simplified registered mail or other means of which dispatch can be recorded. * If you are a legal representative acting on behalf of a minor or an adult ward

We will charge a fee in the amount of up to \1,000 per request for disclosure (i.e., request for “notification of the purpose of use” and “disclosure of personal information subject to disclosure”). If it is evident that the fee will exceed this upper limit, we will advise you of this separately.
